LF series incremental linear encoders adopts grating measuring standard with minimal grating distance. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for high repeatability applications. 

LS 600 series incremental linear encoders is used for simple positioning applications, such as manually operating machine tools. 

LC 200 (Absolute) and LB (incremental) linear encoders are suitable for large length measurements. The measuring basis is a single piece steel strip grating ruler made by METALLUR or AURODUR lithography process. After the grating ruler shell is installed, the steel strip grating ruler is inserted into the ruler base and pre-tightened to the required tension force and the two ends are fixed on the machine casting.
